Summary

OneSelf is a personal health understanding platform. It does not provide emergency care, diagnosis, treatment or medical advice, and it does not replace care from your doctor or healthcare professional. Nothing within the OneSelf platform constitutes medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

02 · Scope

What OneSelf provides

OneSelf is a personal health understanding platform. Its purpose is to help individuals build a more informed picture of their biology over time — through data, education, signal context and, where relevant, practitioner-reviewed guidance.

OneSelf provides:

  • General educational information about health, biology, nutrition and lifestyle, including articles, guides, explainers and series published through the Learning Lounge.
  • Signal context — educational interpretation of biomarker data, DNA signals, microbiome data and wearable inputs through OneSelf Intelligence™, provided as information rather than diagnosis.
  • Access to blood biomarker testing through accredited partner laboratories. Test results are returned to the member and, where relevant, made available to the member's assigned OneSelf practitioner.
  • Practitioner-reviewed wellness guidance at Act tier — reviewed by a qualified practitioner operating within their professional scope before being issued to the member.
  • Live and recorded educational sessions through OneSelf Live, hosted by practitioners in a general educational context.
  • A supplement builder tool providing access to an ingredient library with general educational information about ingredients.
  • Precision supplement formulations, where available, subject to practitioner review and approval, member suitability and applicable regulatory requirements.
03 · Limitations

What OneSelf does not provide

Important

The following list describes services and functions that OneSelf explicitly does not provide. If you need any of the following, please consult a qualified healthcare professional directly.

OneSelf does not provide:

  • Medical advice, diagnosis or treatment of any kind.
  • Prescription or recommendation of any pharmaceutical, therapeutic or controlled substance.
  • Emergency medical services or crisis intervention. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
  • Psychological or psychiatric diagnosis, counselling or therapy.
  • A substitute for the advice, examination or treatment of a qualified medical practitioner, specialist, general practitioner, or registered health professional.
  • Confirmation that any supplement, formulation or lifestyle change is safe or appropriate for your specific health status, medical history, concurrent medications or conditions.
  • Diagnostic imaging, pathology interpretation in a clinical context, or specialist medical reporting.
  • A defined patient-practitioner relationship. The nature and scope of any practitioner involvement will be set out in the relevant Practitioner Terms and member consent documents. [Subject to legal review before publication.]
04 · Results

Understanding your results

When you receive blood biomarker results through OneSelf, those results are provided to you as information — not as a clinical report, diagnosis or action plan.

What results show

Blood biomarker results show the measured levels of specific biological markers in a sample taken at a point in time. These levels are one signal within a broader biological picture. OneSelf Intelligence™ reads these signals in context alongside other connected signals — it does not interpret them in a clinical or diagnostic capacity.

What results do not show

A blood biomarker result alone does not confirm the presence or absence of any disease, condition or disorder. Results must be interpreted in the context of your full medical history, symptoms, physical examination and clinical judgement — which only a qualified healthcare professional is able to provide.

Reference ranges shown within the OneSelf platform are provided for general educational context. They are not clinical thresholds. Results that fall outside a reference range do not automatically indicate a health problem, and results within range do not guarantee the absence of one.

OneSelf position

If your results raise questions or concerns, we encourage you to share them with your general practitioner or relevant healthcare specialist. OneSelf can help you understand what a result may indicate in context — it cannot tell you what it means for your specific health situation.

05 · Membership tiers

Explore, Understand and Act

OneSelf operates across three membership tiers. Each tier provides a different level of service and carries distinct limitations in terms of personalisation, guidance and practitioner involvement.

Tier What it provides Guidance type
Explore · Free General educational content, Learning Lounge articles, health quiz, Ask OneSelf (educational responses), supplement builder with educational information, OneSelf Live access. General educational information only. No personalised guidance.
Understand · Plus Everything in Explore, plus blood biomarker testing, DNA and microbiome add-ons, wearable connection, OneSelf Intelligence™ signal interpretation, longitudinal tracking and signal context in the supplement builder. Educational signal context. No practitioner-reviewed guidance. No action steps.
Act · Pro Everything in Understand, plus a dedicated qualified practitioner assigned to the member's account, practitioner-reviewed guidance on lifestyle, nutrition and supplement protocols, and — where available and approved — access to a precision formulation pathway. Practitioner-reviewed wellness guidance. Not a clinical consultation or medical treatment.

Members are advised to select the tier that is appropriate for their needs and to consult a qualified healthcare professional for clinical advice, regardless of their OneSelf membership tier.

06 · Practitioner governance

Practitioner review

At Act tier, members are assigned a dedicated OneSelf practitioner. This practitioner reviews the member's signal picture before any wellness guidance is issued.

Who are OneSelf practitioners?

OneSelf practitioners are qualified professionals operating within their professional scope, with training in a relevant health discipline. This may include integrative medicine, naturopathy, nutrition, functional medicine or a related field. OneSelf practitioners are not necessarily AHPRA-registered or medical doctors (MDs or MBBSs) unless otherwise specified and confirmed in the relevant Practitioner Terms. Each practitioner operates within their own professional scope and the bounds set by this platform.

What practitioner review provides

Practitioner review at Act tier provides wellness guidance — reviewed recommendations on lifestyle, nutritional strategies and supplement protocols, specific to the member's signal picture. This guidance is:

  • Reviewed by a qualified professional before being issued.
  • Based on the member's OneSelf signal picture, including blood results, DNA signals (where connected), microbiome data (where connected) and self-reported context.
  • Intended to complement, not replace, the member's existing healthcare relationships.
What practitioner review does not provide
  • A clinical consultation, medical examination or diagnosis.
  • Prescription of pharmaceutical or therapeutic agents.
  • A defined patient-practitioner relationship in the legal or clinical sense. The nature and scope of any practitioner involvement is set out in the Practitioner Terms and member consent documents. [Subject to legal review.]
  • A substitute for your general practitioner, medical specialist or registered health professional.
Important

Before starting any supplement protocol, formulation or making significant changes to your diet or lifestyle based on OneSelf guidance, we strongly recommend discussing this with your general practitioner or relevant health professional — particularly if you have any pre-existing health conditions, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are taking prescription medications.

07 · Testing

Blood testing & laboratories

Blood biomarker testing offered through OneSelf is conducted by accredited partner laboratories. OneSelf does not operate its own laboratory facilities.

Laboratory accreditation

All partner laboratories used by OneSelf are accredited under the relevant national or regional accreditation frameworks applicable to the member's location. Details of specific laboratory partners are not disclosed publicly. Members may request information about the specific laboratory conducting their test via the OneSelf member support team.

Results delivery

Laboratory results are delivered to the member's OneSelf account. At Act tier, results are also made available to the member's assigned practitioner for review. Results are not interpreted in a clinical pathology reporting capacity by OneSelf. For clinical pathology interpretation, members should consult their general practitioner or a specialist.

Testing availability

Blood biomarker testing through OneSelf is currently available in Australia. Availability may vary by state, territory or postcode depending on partner laboratory coverage. Testing availability is confirmed at checkout prior to purchase. OneSelf does not guarantee availability of any specific test in all locations.

Please note

OneSelf testing is not a substitute for GP-ordered pathology. If your general practitioner has recommended specific blood tests, please discuss these with your GP directly. Results from OneSelf testing may differ from results ordered by your GP due to differences in the specific markers tested, laboratory methods or reference ranges used.

08 · Supplements & formulations

Supplement information

OneSelf's supplement builder provides access to an ingredient library with general educational information about nutritional and botanical ingredients. Information provided within the builder is educational in nature and does not constitute a personalised recommendation unless the member is at Act tier and a practitioner has reviewed and issued a specific protocol.

Precision formulations

Where available and subject to applicable regulatory requirements, OneSelf may offer precision supplement formulations as part of the Act membership pathway. Precision formulations are:

  • Available only where a member's signal picture supports it, as assessed by their assigned practitioner.
  • Approved by the practitioner before any formulation is developed or dispensed.
  • Manufactured through partner facilities subject to applicable quality, manufacturing and regulatory requirements. [Specific manufacturing pathway subject to confirmation by regulatory consultant before publication.]
  • Subject to availability by location and applicable regulatory requirements, which may vary.
  • Not available to all members.
Supplement safety

Some supplements and complementary products may be regulated as therapeutic goods in Australia. Availability, claims, labelling and supply pathways are subject to applicable regulatory requirements, which vary depending on the product type, formulation and intended use. Supplement ingredients may interact with medications, medical conditions or other supplements. Members should disclose all supplements to their healthcare professional, particularly if they are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a chronic health condition or are taking prescription medications.

Supplement disclaimer

No supplement or formulation available through OneSelf is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition. Supplements are intended to support general health and wellbeing when used as part of a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.

09 · Medical emergencies

When to seek medical attention

Emergency

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately. In Australia, call 000. OneSelf is not an emergency service and cannot provide emergency medical assistance.

OneSelf is not designed for and is not appropriate for managing the following situations. If you are experiencing any of the following, please contact your doctor, specialist or emergency services without delay — do not use OneSelf as a substitute for care:

  • Chest pain, tightness or pressure, or suspected heart attack or cardiac event.
  • Shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, or respiratory distress.
  • Severe abdominal pain or acute gastrointestinal symptoms.
  • Fainting, sudden dizziness or loss of consciousness.
  • Neurological symptoms including sudden weakness, numbness, speech difficulty, vision changes or suspected stroke.

  • Cancer diagnosis, oncology treatment or management of a serious or terminal condition.
  • Questions about changing, stopping or starting prescription medications.
  • Any symptoms or results that cause you immediate concern, regardless of what your OneSelf signal picture shows.

You should also seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional if you:

  • Receive blood results that are significantly outside the provided reference range, particularly for markers such as glucose, electrolytes, kidney function, liver function, full blood count or thyroid function.
  • Have a pre-existing medical condition that may be relevant to your test results or signal picture.
  • Are considering significant changes to your diet, exercise regime or supplement intake based on information received through OneSelf.
  • Are experiencing symptoms of mental health distress, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, disordered eating, or thoughts of self-harm.

If you are unsure whether to seek medical attention, please err on the side of caution and contact your general practitioner.
